Assanova Gone?

I’m getting a 404 Error on Assanova.

That would suck.

Man, where have you been? His blog went down at least two weeks ago.

And Assanova's been saying he was going to quit for over a year now. He finally went and did it.

I was sad when i found out as well

Been in my Man Cave editing the book!

My Google Reader was just saying 1000+ for about three weeks.

  4. Fourmyle says:

I don't mind he quit blogging, but why delete the blog? There was gold in there, and now it's all gone.

  5. Athol Kay says:

That always annoys me as well Fourmyle. Everyone he's linked to loses a little.

Plus he could just have the blog sit there and have his books available to buy forever and he'd still turn a decent profit for a couple years.

    Oh well :-/

  6. Badger says:

Someone with a reader archive would do well to save the materials for posterity, perhaps he could pull a Dalrock and reconstitute a slain blogger's posts.

  7. Athol Kay says:

Google Reader keeps everything pretty well. If you're worried that someone is going to vanish it keeps a history unless they go back through every individual post, republish it as a blank post and then hit delete blog.

If he wants to be gone, I think you have to let him.

  8. Anonymous says:

Yeah. His site was underrated. Helped sort more than a few things in my head.

I hope he brings it back sometime. He could remove all the field reports and all the stories and it'd still be filled with a lot of wisdom.

The last one year of posts have more knowledge in them than all the previous years combined.
